Vito Arujau won Worlds by defeating the 2021 world champion, and former #1 ranked, Abasgadzhi Magomedov. On top of the win over Magomedov, Arujau also defeated #3 Taiyrbek Zhumashbek Uulu and #4 Kodai Ogawa on his way to gold. Most of the rankings changes at 61kg follow the results at the Worlds - you can check out all of those results here.

It’s also worth noting that Akhmed Idrisov defeated Muslim Mekhtikhanov at the Dmitry Korkin tournament before forfeiting to Kezhik Mongush in the finals.
