After taking a few upset losses in February, Tajmuraz Salkazanov is back to his winning ways. Salkazanov won gold at the European Championships for the third straight year with notable wins over Frank Chamizo and Avtandil Kentchadze. Before his loss in the finals, Chamizo rallied off notable wins over Ali-Pasha Umarpashaev, Soner Demirtas, and Dzhabrail Gadzhiev. Of those 3 wrestlers, Demirtas came back to win bronze.

Jason Nolf came away as the US Open champion with notable wins over Keegan O'Toole and Vincenzo Joseph. For that performance, Nolf will now compete at Final X in June against #2 Kyle Dake for the second year in a row.
