Zahid Valencia won the Poland Open and defeated Myles Amine and Sandro Aminashvili in the process. Amine came back to take bronze with a win over Sebastian Jezierzanski (POL). On top of that win, Amine also defeated 2019 World Bronze medalist, Stefan Reichmuth (SUI).

Abubakr Abakarov moved into the rankings after Zbigniew Baranowski moved up to 92kg. Abakarov defeated Aminashvili in May at the last Olympic Qualifier on his way to bronze there. At the qualifier, Abakarov only lost to Olympian Boris Makoev.
