#5 Viktor Rassadin jumps 8 spots in the rankings after winning The Yarygin and defeating #6 Kurban Shiraev (7-6) and #10 Anzor Zakuev (10-4). Shiraev doesn’t drop more than a spot after coming back and winning bronze over Usman Skakhgiriev and a 10-8 win over #9 James Green. 

Yarygin silver medalist, Anzor Zakuev jumps to #9 in the rankings after defeating Magoma Dibirgadzhiev and #12 Alan Kudzoev. The final medalist, #10 Ruslan Zhendaev, took out Kudzoev in the bronze medal match in a high-scoring, 10-9 bout. 

While Green and Pantaleo both went 0-1 at the Yarygin, they fail to drop too far in the rankings because of the quality of their opponents. Green’s loss to Shiraev is not one that should be punished. Also, Pantaleo’s loss to Kudzoev (4-4) proves to be an acceptable based on Kudzoev’s fifth-place finish.
