Aznaur Tavaev defeated Nikita Suchkov in the finals at The Yarygin to move into the rankings at 74kg. Tavaev was competing at 65kg just 2 years ago and failed to place at the 2021 Russian Nationals at 70kg. In just his second competition at 74kg, Tavaev is proving to be a threat against some of the best in the world. Not only did he have a win over Suchkov, he also defeated formerly ranked Dibirgadzhiev in the semi-finals. 

Kyle Dake breezed through the Pan-Am Championships with 5, 10-0 tech fall wins. With the win in the finals, Dake recorded his 100th senior level win and has now won 48 straight matches.
