2019-20 NCAA DII Rankings

NCAA DII 125-Pound Rankings

The first half of the 2019-20 Division II season has come to a close, so we should expect a huge shake-up in the next set of rankings in January. The Midwest Classic showcased 37 of the 63 NCAA Division II schools and is considered a preview of the National Tournament. The Midwest Classic also provides a hard fact of which regions that will have to battle it out for the top three spots if they are to compete in the National Tournament.

Josh Portillo (Nebraska-Kearney) is now the new #1 of the weight class. The Midwest Classic was highlighted by freshman Patrick Allis (Western Colorado). Allis defeated two returning All-Americans, defending national champion Carlos Jaquez (Lindenwood), and Tyler Kreith (Maryville) en route to a runner-up finish. Allis lost in the finals against returning All-American Marcus Povlick (McKendree) 2-0. Tanner Cole (Central Oklahoma) sits outside the ranking being ranked #4 in Super Region 4. Cole does have wins over national qualifier Blake Lucas (Bellarmine), who is #5 in Super Region 4 and Nick Daggett (UNC-Pembroke).
