Hokie nation is excited for Sammy Hillegas and everyone knows why. He will look to become a three-time state champion this season after suffering a defeat last season in the semis. I am willing to bet that bronze medal from Hershey has motivated him beyond belief and he’s coming off a strong showing in NC. It is wide open behind him with the only returning placer is TT Elhajj, Lower Dauphin, who was eighth last season. 

I hope you enjoy reading and critiquing the 2019-20 first official rankings for PA. This is the post-preseason, pre-regular season rankings. With results compiled from most of the offseason and preseason tournaments, we were able to have a more accurate and up to date ranking to reflect the upcoming season. With just under a month until the opening weekend of competition, excitement is mounting across the state.
