2019-20 NCAA DI Rankings

174 Better Living Through Kemererstry

We've got a ranker's delight in the top 10, as Kaleb Romero beat Devin Skatzka, who beat Mikey Labriola, who beat Kaleb Romero. Recency breaks the tie, and Skatzka moves up to #6.

Joseph Smith entered the much-discussed Last Chance Open in Ames, Iowa and lost to DeMichael Franklin, Iowa State's backup at 174. Smith has a win over Sammy Colbray, who is Iowa State's starter, so he finds his ranker's equilibrium at #16.

Demonstrating yet more parity in another weight class, four other top 25 wrestlers took losses to unranked wrestlers. Neal Richards lost to Thomas Flitz of App State, Hayden Hastings lost to Scott Joll of West Virginia, Tyler Morland lost to Kevin Gschwendtner of SIUE, and Army's Ben Harvy lost to Spencer Carey. Richards, Hastings, and Morland all drop, while their vanquishers move to the bubble. Carey, who also recently beat Layne Malczewski, takes over the #22 spot and bumps Ben Harvey to the bubble.

Finally, Fresno State started Jackson Hemauer over Brandon Martino in their final two regular-season duals. Hemauer lost to Joey Gunther and Anthony Mantanona, but has a strong enough resume to garner a #25 ranking as the Bulldogs head into the postseason.
