2019-20 High School Rankings

106

106lbs continues to be a rankings nightmare with not much separation between the top 25-30 guys in the country. Tyler Kasak (PA) creates the most recent wrinkle as he was entered into Bethlehem Catholic’s lineup at 106lbs against Waynesburg and Erie Prep at the PIAA duals. He knocked off #9 Mac Church (PA) and HM Jacob Van Dee (PA). Kasak and incumbent starter Cael McIntyre are slated for a wrestle-off to determine the postseason starter. If Kasak gets the nod, he will be reintroduced into the rankings. Kasak had a solid Super32 that placed him into the top 20 prior to the start of the regular season.

106lbs in New Jersey will be one of the best weights in the country to watch at the state tournament. #8 Anthony Santaniello (NJ) is the biggest mover this week as he knocked off #10 Evan Tallmadge in the Shore Conference finals and stayed undefeated on the year. The rematch was slated for Tuesday evening, but the entire dual was canceled for a ‘medical emergency.’

Danny Sheen (PA) was back in the lineup for Wyoming Seminary and took out #15 Tyler Vasquez (NJ) in the dual against Delbarton. We are taking the wait and see approach with Sheen and #2 Brandon Cannon (PA). Prep Nationals will take place prior to the next set of rankings and give us the clear picture.
