Blair, Sem Go 1-2 At Preps
Blair (NJ) closed out its season with another National Prep title this past weekend in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Bucs went toe-to-toe with #3 Wyoming Seminary (PA), which did its best to make a run. Sem, incredibly, had seven finalists and won the first five finals. But Blair countered with seven champs on 11 finalists. Malvern (PA) was third without Ryan Karoly.
The always-tough Central Section in Cali gave us lots to chew on. Buchanan posted 290.5 points to runner-up Selma’s 229.5. Clovis, which was outpointed by Clovis North last week, took third. Bakersfield was fourth, and Clovis North was fifth.
Poway won the San Diego Sectional with a whopping 369.5 points and looks like the top threat to Buchanan at states.
Montini (IL) beat OPRF in state duals.
Indianapolis Cathedral edged Brownsburg 108-100 in Indiana.
