125 - Luke Lilledahl

This weight was a bit of a mess to sort out, but Luke Lilledahl takes over the top spot due to his third place finish last year and his notable victories over Eddie Ventresca, Matt Ramos (twice), Caleb Smith (twice), and Sheldon Seymour. 

Vincent Robinson drops out of the top spot after suffering a loss to Eddie Ventresca. However, Ventresca then lost to Jore Volk twice, while Jore Volk lost to Nic Bouzakis. On top of the Volk win, Bouzakis defeated Dean Peterson. Spratley takes the biggest hit after losing to both Vincent Robinson and Dean Peterson. 

We only chose to drop Robinson 1 spot - Robinson’s only losses of his college career are to Eddie Ventresca (3 times). However, Robinson is the returning NCAA champion and boasts wins over Troy Spratley (3), Dean Peterson, and Sheldon Seymour (2). That resume, combined with Ventresca and Volk losing, holds Robinson at #2.

We felt that Jore Volk’s two wins over Ventresca warranted his move up to #3. Similarly, Ventresca’s win over Robinson was enough to keep him planted at #4. Though Bouzakis defeated Volk and Peterson, he lost earlier this year to McCrone (who was ranked #19) and suffered losses last year to Angelo Rini (2), Tyler Knox, and Dylan Shawver. With those losses, and limited results at 125, we felt #6 was the correct spot to bring Bouzakis into the rankings. If he continues to win, he’ll continue to move up.
