2025-26 NCAA DI Wrestling Rankings
P4P - Mitchell Mesenbrink
There was huge movement in the pound-for-pound this week, with AJ Ferrari, Michael Caliendo, Max McEnelly, Brock Hardy, Drake Ayala, Vincent Robinson, Antrell Taylor, and Troy Spratley all taking losses. Antrell Taylor took two losses, so he drops out of the top 20, and Spratley comes out as well.
Though they took losses, Ferrari and Caliendo only drop two spots because of their incredible resumes throughout their college careers. Ferrari only has three career losses and has notable wins over Taye Ghadiali, Jacob Cardenas, Stephen Buchanan, Myles Amine, Nino Bonaccorsi, and several other All-Americans. Caliendo’s loss to Lockett was his first to a non-national champ since the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Beyond that, the wrestlers ranked immediately behind Ferrari and Caliendo have either not wrestled this year or have competed very minimally.
McEnelly and Hardy drop 4 spots each but hold at #12 and #13, respectively, based on their overall resume and finish at the NCAA Tournament.
Angelo Ferrari, LaDarion Lockett, and Aeoden Sinclair are all new to the pound-for-pound. Ferrari is undefeated this year and has only lost to Carter Starocci during his redshirt freshman year. Beyond that, Ferrari boasts a win over Sinclair (who just defeated McEnelly), and Ferrari has the same “best win” as McEnelly - Dustin Plott.
