This was not easy. I went back and forth on who to make #1 but ultimately landed on Vito Arujau because, although he did not make the Olympic Team, he reached the top of the podium the year before - something Spencer Lee did not, he has two better international wins than Lee - Abasgadzhi Magomedov and Zaur Uguev, and he has only lost to Masanosuke Ono in the past two years - and Lee has also lost to him.

Zahid Valencia comes in ahead of Kyle Dake as he just defeated him. If Kyle Snyder hadn't recently lost to Arash Yoshida at the Albania Ranking Series, he might be ahead of Dake.
