2026 NCAA Recruiting Class Rankings
After decomitting from Iowa several months ago, Bo Bassett is back off of the market as he announced over the weekend that he will be heading to Virginia Tech. His commitment brings the Hokies up from #8 to #3, one spot ahead of Michigan and two spots ahead of Penn State. Putting the Hokies ahead of the Nittany Lions, who have another huge blue-chip recruit in Jayden James, seemed obvious as PSU doesn't have as much depth in their class as Virginia Tech. However, I really struggled with who to put #2. I love what Michigan has, but ultimately it came down to the Bo Bassett intangibles and what he means for a program. The fact that it also secured the #1 overall recruit in the class of 2027, Melvin Miller, and maybe more down the road and all the eyeballs that will be on Tony Robie's team in the years to come was enough to put it ahead of a really solid class from Michigan.
Elsewhere, Oklahoma State lost #36 Kellen Wolbert to Michigan, but gained a commitment flip from #40 Michael White, who was originally committed to Minnesota. With all the movement, all three schools remain at their previous rankings.
Former Pitt commit #80 Elijah Brown announced he was reopening his commitment. The news drops Pitt from #21 to #24.
