2024 Olympic Wrestling Rankings

97 kg - Akhmed Tazhudinov

There were no major changes or surprises in the qualifiers at 97 kg. It is important to note the addition of 92 kg world champion Rizabek Aitmukhan to the field. Aitmukhan recently lost two, close matches to defending 97 kg world champion Akhmed Tazhudinov. While Aitmukhan is listed below, he'll likely have a wrestle-off with Alisher Yergali, a veteran for Kazakhstan who actually qualified the weight for their country at the recent Asian Olympic Games Qualifier.

The wrestlers listed below are all those who qualified through the 2023 World Championships and their respective continental qualifiers. Only three more spots are available and will be earned at the World Olympic Games Qualifier May 9-12.

As always, we’d love to hear your feedback - if you have thoughts or questions send them over by email to Jonathan.Kozak@flosports.tv or @KozakJon on Twitter.
