2022-23 Wisconsin High School Rankings

220 pounds

The name at the top of this list may change in the next set of rankings, and it would only be a result of him moving up to heavyweight permanently. Koy Hopke has rolled through the competition this season once again is one of the top pound-for-pound guys in the state, bumping up to heavyweight twice this season to beat the #3 and #4 ranked heavyweights by pin. The next two guys up in his division, Sloan Welch and Isaac Pearce, sit in the same sectional, so Hopke will have his work cut out for him from start to finish in the postseason. Division 1 has a deep field of wrestlers with Arndt, Gonzalez, Kawczynski, and Downey. Additionally, Division 3 will be a slugfest, with #4 David Gauderman and #5 Vanden Hoffman set to meet at sectionals.
