Representing the country of Georgia, Bujiashvili made his way on to the international scene in 2009 and won his first international medal in 2013 with a silver at the Freidenfelds cup. Bujiashvilli took bronze at the junior world championships in 2013 before making the jump to the senior level in 2014 where he won the Henri Deglane tournament.
