9th Annual Spartan Slam December 28-29, 2017 Broad Run HS Ashburn, Virginia 20147 6-8 MATCHES OVER THE 2 DAY TOURNAMENT Format ? 20 Teams - Individual Scramble Tournament. Four 6 Man Pools will be created based on seeding. Placement Brackets will be created upon records in pools. Placement will be wrestled for the Top 20 places. B-Team Wrestlers will be used to fill empty weight classes to the best of our ability. Coaches will be asked for additional wrestlers they would like to enter into the tournament. Scoring ? Individuals will be seeded by weight class with criteria below. Wrestlers will then be placed in Pools based on seeding and score individually for their teams. B Team wrestlers will NOT be scoring members of a team and efforts will be made to separate similar teams in pool matches. Medals/Awards ? Top 4 Wrestlers per weight class will medal. Team Champion and Runner-Up Trophies. Seeding Criteria - 1. 2016 Post Season Placement (care will be given to create balanced brackets) a. State Placement, State Qualifier, Region Placement, District/Conference 2. 2017-18 Season Wins ? Current Total Fees ? Cost will be $450. Missing weight may result in the inability for a wrestler to participate depending on teams entered and availability in a bracket. Wrestling - Wrestling will be held on 5 to 6 mats all day both days and will begin at 9am. Admission/Other Information - Tickets will be $8 for Adults and $5 for Children (5-17) each day. 2-Day Passes can be purchased for $12 for adults and $8 for Children. Senior Citizens are free both days. T-Shits will be available for purchase both days with the ability to personalize them upon purchase. Gym space will be limited due to the number of teams. Teams should plan on using classrooms or specific areas to leave coolers, bags, etc. to allow the maximum amount of seating and gymnasium space. All individual scoring, team scoring and team/wrestler entry will be done through TrackWrestling.com. Spectators will be able to access Live Scoring, Brackets, and Upcoming Match Schedule via the website.
