At the Legacy Events Center in Farmington, Utah December 18-19, 2015 Invited Teams American Fork, Bountiful, Box Elder, Brighton, Corner Canyon, Cyprus, Davis, Delta, East, Emery, Evanston, Wy., Hillcrest, Layton, Logan, Lone Peak, Millard, Morgan, Mountain Crest, Mountain View, Murray, North Summit, Northridge, Olympus, Orem, Payson, Pleasant Grove, Roy, Riverton, Salem Hills, San Juan, Skyline, South Summit, Spanish Fork, Springville, Timpanogos, Tintic, Viewmont, West Lake, Woods Cross, Entry Fee Team entry fees are $450.00 (includes varsity and JV) per school, due and payable at the seeding meeting. Please make checks payable to Viewmont Invitational Wrestling Tournament. Extras may be entered into the JV tournament for $15 per wrestler. An `extra` wrestler is a wrestler who wrestles at a weight class where you already have another wrestler. Payment for extras will be due before the coaches meeting on Friday, December 18th. Any unreconciled extras entrees will be invoiced. Weight Classifications & Two Pound Weight Allowance Standard NFHS weight classes will be used. Due to the fact that teams entered in the tournament will compete on Wednesday and Thursday, December 16 &17, a two pound weight allowance will be made. (108, 115, 122, 128, 134, 140, 147, 154, 162, 172, 184, 197, 222, 287) The weight will remain the same for Saturday; there will be no additional allowance as per rule. Line-up Entry Deadline Lineups must be posted online by Wednesday, December 16th at 7:00 P.M. to www.trackwrestling.com. To post your lineup and seeding criteria you will need to go to www.trackwrestling.com and use your assigned username and password that will be sent to you in an email. You will have a separate username and password for the varsity and JV tournaments. Follow these steps: 1.Go to www.trackwrestling.com 2. In the `Event Name` field, type `Viewmont Invitational` and click `GO` next to Quick Search. This will pull up two tournaments, the `Viewmont Invitational Varsity 2015` and the `Viewmont Invitational JV 2015`. Click on the Viewmont Invitational Varsity 2015 and then select as the USER TYPE `Statistician`. You will then enter your assigned username and password. Once finished entering and saving your varsity lineup and seeding criteria, repeat the same process for entering your JV lineup, but of course after selecting the `Viewmont Invitational JV 2015` tournament. Be sure to use the varsity username and password for the varsity tournament and the JV username and password for the JV tournament. These instructions will be repeated in an automated email sent to you from TrackWrestling. Head to Head Matchups Once the clock strikes 11 P.M. on Wednesday the 16th, all the teams` rosters will be available for public viewing. At that point you will be able to login and select which opponents your wrestler has beaten head-to-head. This option will only be open during that 24 hour period between 11 P.M. on Wednesday and 7:00 P.M. on Thursday. If you have a lineup change between Wednesday and Friday, please email Brandon Ripplinger by Friday morning at 8 A.M. at bripplinger@dsdmail.net. For any other problems, call or text Brandon Ripplinger. Parking Buses should park in the far northeast corner of the north parking lot. Weigh-in On Friday the weigh-in will begin at 10:00 AM. They will be conducted at the main arena floor and will proceed according to NFHS rules. For the Friday weigh-in, teams will be assigned to weigh in with another team with the opposing coaches acting as the officiators. You must use your valid weigh-in sheet assigned by the weight management website. Saturday, the weigh-in will begin at 8:00 am and will be conducted by weight class as indicated by NFHS rules. Seeding Because of the efficiency of Trackwrestling`s seeding algorithm, a seeding meeting will not be necessary. Seeding will be conducted in accordance with the following tournament rules and criteria: 1. Head coaches are directly responsible to ensure their team rosters and all seeding information is entered on-time and accurately! Wrestlers who have no seeding criteria entered will not be considered for seeding. Any disgruntled parents or competitors will be reminded of the policy and will be referred to the wrestler`s head coach. 2. Lineup Deadline: Wednesday, December 16th, 11:00 PM: Lineups and seeding information (grade in school, season win-loss record, big tournament finishes, returning post-season finishes, etc.) must be entered before this Wednesday night deadline. See below for seeding criteria. 3. Head-to-head Matchups Entry Deadline is Thursday, December, 17th, 7:00 PM: Coaches will enter head-to-head matchups on Trackwrestling on Thursday, December 17th before 7:00 PM. Only current season head-to-head wins and losses apply. Before entering a head-to-head win for a wrestler, make sure he has indeed beaten any opponents you indicate. Any coaches who indicate inaccurate head-to-head wins will be fined $50. If you aren`t certain, don`t enter it. A team who fails to pay the required fine will not be invited back to the Viewmont Invitational. 4. Seeding will be finalized by the program and by the tournament directors by Friday morning, December 18th before weighins. Following weighins, the weight classes, entries, and seeds will be verified before the final bracket is released around 11:00 AM. SEEDING CRITERIA: All wrestlers deserving seeds will be considered based upon the following criteria: 1. 2015 State Tournament Place 2. 2014 Viewmont Invitational Varsity Tournament Place 3. 2014 or 2013 State Tournament Place 3. 2015-16 Season Layton, Evanston, or Millard Tournament Place 4. 2015-16 Other Current-season Tournament Place 5. Season Record Wins/Season Record Winning Percentage 6. 2015 Divisional place 7. 2015 Region Place 8. 2015 State Qualifier 9. Draw In the JV tournament, any JV wrestlers who were state placers, state qualifiers, and region placers will be given preference; all others will be drawn in. Coaches Meeting A coaches meeting will be held at 10:30 AM in which the format of the tournament will be discussed as well as any other pertinent information. A light lunch will also be served. Brackets Brackets will be printed and posted in the foyer following the progress of the tournament. Due to the accessibility of of current brackets on Trackwrestling.com on mobile devices, paper brackets for coaches will not be printed. Current Utah or Wyoming Activities Assoc. passes will be honored for admission. Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted free of charge. A reasonable number of team managers and scorekeepers will be admitted without charge. Awards The top eight varsity place winners in each weight class will receive medals. The top two teams will receive trophies. An outstanding wrestler will be named in the lower and upper weights. Each will receive a trophy. In the J.V. tournament the top six place winners will receive medals and the top two teams will receive trophies. Junior Varsity Tournament The J.V.
