Date: January 10. 2015 Participating Teams: Algona, Charles City, Clear Lake, Emmetsburg, Forest City, Oelwein, St. Ansgar, West Fork JV first round will begin at 9:30 a.m. (or as soon as we get pairings completed). Two mats will be used in the Middle School Gym for the JV Tournament. Varsity tournament will begin at 10:00 a.m. Three mats will be used throughout the day in the High School Gym for the varsity tournament. The tournament will run straight through with only minor breaks between rounds Weigh-ins: We will begin weighing-in at 8:00 a.m. JV Wrestlers may weigh-in at home on Friday. Seeding will take place at 8:30 a.m. (Room 302) Criteria will be as follows: head-to-head competition, record, and place last year within one weight (at the Clear Lake tournament). We will not seed losing records. Track Wrestling will be used for all tournament scoring. You will need to enter your rosters on Track Wrestling for both the varsity and JV tournaments. The tournaments can be followed live on Track Wrestling. JV wrestlers will be placed into 4 man brackets according to weight and skill level as much as possible. Team scoring will be as per National Federation rules. Medals go to the top three places in the varsity tournament and to the individual champions of JV brackets. Tournament Outstanding Wrestler will be picked by a vote of the head coaches. All awards will be presented at the conclusion of the meet. Entry fee is $80 per Varsity team and $56 per JV team or $4 per individual. Officials: Locker rooms will be assigned. The host school is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Each school should provide their own towels. A concession stand will be available throughout the day in both the High School and Middle School gym areas. Coolers will not be allowed in the gym. Athletes may keep a cooler in the wrestling room (behind the HS Gym). Please police your athletes. Outlets will not be provided for cooking. A hospitality room will be available throughout the day for officials, coaches, and workers. Admission: $5.00 per person-No passes accepted other than Administrative passes Please let us know as soon as possible if your school has a meet scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2009.
