TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE PASSES THAT WILL BE ACCEPTED AT GATE: - Greenville County School District Pass - SCHSL Pass - Golden Apple Pass Coaches please inform your fans that travel to see you this weekend of this information. PARKING: Please park in the lot closest to the tennis courts on the far right as you are facing the front of the school. This will be the easiest area for buses to park plus it is the closest parking area near the wrestler`s entrance. This also leaves parking for spectators on the other side of the school. COACHES, WRESTLERS, and MANAGERS ONLY can enter the school through entrance facing the tennis courts. If you try to enter through the general public entrance you will be instructed to go around the building and enter from the specified entrance, Athletic Director requirement. The team check in table will be at the previously mentioned entrance after entering through the tennis court entrance. At this table you will receive your weigh-in packet & confirm receipt of your ENTRY FEE!!!!! Teams will be paired up as they arrive to weigh each other in. This allows us to get 40+ teams weighed in and tournament started on time. After weigh-in coaches must bring weigh-in sheet to head table in Main Gym. Your packet will have 4 wristbands for coaches/managers. If you have coaches/managers arriving after the team, please write their name on the wristband and leave it at the main ticket table. The ticket table will not accept the statement of ?I am an assistant coach? and allow them entry. Sorry for being this way, but our ticket table does not have the time to track down coaches. Registration will be done through Track Wrestling. You will receive a very detailed email from Track Wrestling with registration process. As part of that email each coach will receive a login and password, which will allow the teams line-up to be populated. Go to www.trackwrestling.com and search for the Southern Slam Invitational and enter the tournament as the `Statistician` with your login credentials. Additionally, you should be able to find a helpful training video on the Track Wrestling website that can assist you with the Wrestler entry method. Line-up and seeding criteria entry must be completed by Wednesday Nov. 30th at 8:00 pm; so that we can have the brackets prepared and emailed to you by Thursday. This is a hard deadline that will be enforced by Track Wrestling Registration, and will not be re-opened. We also recommend calling to confirm receipt of the lineup. Any team that will be wrestling on Wednesday Nov. 30th must notify Coach Kosmicki immediately so that all teams can be informed of any weight allowance. Otherwise all wrestlers will receive scratch weight on Thursday and the standard 1 extra pound on Friday and 2 extra pounds on Saturday. Tournament Format: Brackets will be a 32-man format with double elimination. Pig-tail matches into the round of 32 will be single elimination (win and you`re in). Due to bracket formatting, Pig-tail match losers appear to have a second pig-tail match. This is not the case. Pig-tail loser WILL NOT advance any further in the tournament. Seeding will be based on 4 criteria: - Seeding Points (2015-2016 Record) - 2016-2017 Season Record Winning Percentage - 2016-2017 Season Record Wins - Has the Wrestler had 1 match towards Season Record (Yes/No) Seeding Points Calculation: 2015 State Place: 1st - 40 points 2nd - 30 points 3rd - 25 points 4th - 20 points SQ - 15 points (in 2014 or 2015)* *If a wrestler placed in 2014 but did not qualify in 2015 then count them only as a SQ. 2015-2016 Record: (last season) All varsity matches Each win: 2 points Each loss: -1 point *Be sure to multiply total number of wins by 2, THEN subtract the number of losses. 2015-2016 National Tournaments: Placement in any of the following tournaments will also earn points: (Beast of the East, IronMan, Super32, Junior Nationals, Cadet Nationals, Fr/So/Jr Nationals) 1st -40 points 2nd -30 points 3rd -25 points 4th -20 points 5th-8th -15 points Placement in Middle School Nationals 1st -2nd - 20 points 3rd - 8th -10 points Example: Matt Leach finished 1st @ SC State 2015 (40 points), 2014-2015 record of 15-1 (30-1 = 29 points), 4th at Jr Nationals, 2nd @ Super32 = 40+29+20+30=119 points. COACHES PLEASE HAVE YOUR LINE-UP SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN 8:00PM Wednesday Nov. 30th. Make sure that the Participant Info and Criteria values are entered for each of your wrestlers. This is the information that will SEED your wrestler into the bracket. If you have a problem working with the Track Wrestling you can e-mail your line-up (no later than 8:00PM Wednesday Nov. 30th to johncmitchell3@gmail.com. Your Track Wrestling registration will be your official line-up and no changes from what is submitted by 8:00PM Wednesday Nov. 30th will be allowed. Brackets will be emailed out to coaches, on the evening of Dec. 1st for all coaches to review (provided all teams have submitted their information). On the Dec 2nd no-shows and missed weights are forfeits. Brackets WILL NOT BE REDONE, based on the limited time after weigh-ins and our need to start tournament on time. Weigh-ins: Will be done BY TEAM, in the order that they show up and check in. Weigh-in Times: Friday: 4:00pm Saturday: 7:30am A more detailed schedule will be provided at the tournament The wrestling room will be open for workouts all day Friday for teams traveling to Eastside. The scales will be available to check weights. Due to space restrictions we REQUIRE that all wrestler equipment bags be kept outside of the gym at the team table. Additionally, NO COOLERS WILL BE ALLOWED INTO THE GYM. This was a source of complaints from the spectators. This rule will be strictly enforced. Every team will be assigned a specific table in the commons area just outside of the gym.
