The coaches meeting will begin at 9:15-9:30 AM (or earlier) in the Coaches Lunch Room. All seeding will be done according to the criteria established on trackwrestling. We will give coaches a quick overview of each weight to make sure we did not miss any special considerations. Wrestling will begin at approximately 9:45-10:00 AM on five mats. ● All matches will be 2-2-2 in length. ● Mats 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be for boys varsity competition. Mat 5 in the Auxiliary gym will be used for the girls division. ● Mat assignments may be moved in any division to advance the tournament, if necessary. ● Depending on the type of brackets built, the order of matches/rounds is subject to change throughout the day. We will take one 30-minute lunch break at the end of either round 2 or 3. Placement matches will not be held for each weight class. Instead, the placement matches will continue to be run on the first available mats just like the rest of the tournament. The head table will announce the mat number to highlight the championship bouts. Concessions will be available throughout the day. Masks must be worn at all times in the gyms unless a wrestler is wrestling, a coach is coaching from a matside corner, or a ref is officiating. Medals for 1st through 3rd place will be handed out for each weight class. Team trophies will be handed out for 1st and 2nd place in team points. Coaches, please encourage your wrestlers to keep back from the mats when they are not wrestling. Only three coaches per corner, and we need to keep the area between the mats clear.
