Schedule -Weigh Ins: 8:00 am -Coaches Meeting: 8:30 am -Round 1 Pigtails - 9:30 am (bout numbers 100, 101, etc.) -Round 2 Championship Bracket Quarter finals (bout numbers 200, 201, etc.) -30 minute lunch -Round 3 Consolation Bracket Quarter finals (bout numbers 300, 301, etc.) -Round 4 Semi-finals (bout numbers 400, 401, etc.) -Round 5 1st, 3rd, 5th place matches (bout numbers 500, 501, etc.) Entering Information -Please meet all trackwrestling deadlines. Please notify Karl Schwerin of any changes as soon as possible. -All rosters should in entered by Thursday, January 11 at 11:59 p.m. -All seeding criteria and head to head must be entered on Friday, January 12 between 12:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Seeding Seeding will be drawn at the coaches meeting and will follow the following criteria: -Is a scoring wrestler? -Has had 10 matches toward varsity record (JV record will not be considered) -Record winning percentage -Record wins -State place last year -State qualifier last year -FVL Wrestling Invite place in 2017 Bracketing Our goal is to have as many brackets with at least 8 wrestlers as possible. We will utilize second, non-scoring wrestlers to help fill openings in brackets, allowing up to 12 wrestlers per bracket. New this year, coaches will be able to add their own second, non-scoring, wrestlers to their rosters. Please accurately select which wrestler will be non-scoring and promptly notify Karl Schwerin of any scratches as soon as possible. In the event that there are too many non-scoring wrestlers to fit into a bracket we will create a second `JV` round robin bracket for that weight class. Non-scoring wrestlers will be seeded below scoring wrestlers. Requests may be made and voted on to separate wrestlers from the same team. For weight classes with 6 or less wrestlers we will use 4, 5, or 6 man round robin brackets. Four man brackets will only wrestle rounds 1, 3, and 5. Weight classes with 9 or more wrestlers will utilize pigtails. Pigtails will be wrestled in round 1. Based on the size of the brackets, this round may go very quickly and we may need to take a short break to allow 45 minutes of rest time before continuing with round 2. Mat Assignments We will utilize a mat assignment display board which will indicate the current, on deck, and in the hole matches for each mat. The board will include bout numbers. Wrestlers should know the bout number of their next match to estimate warm up time and avoid confusion of which rounds they will wrestle. Bout numbers can be found on the tournament page of trackwrestling or on the posted and distributed brackets. Posted brackets will be updated every round, distributed brackets will be given to coaches at the beginning of wrestling and updated after lunch. Please inform your wrestlers of the importance of knowing their bout number and watching the board. Please do NOT bring any beverages (except water) or food into the gym. Ticket Pricing -Adults - $4.00 -HS Students/Senior Citizens (62+) - $2.00 -Children (K-8th grade) - $1.00 Admission Policy Each school will be allowed free admission for participating wrestlers, coaches, and managers.
