Event: Iowa High School Athletic Association Class 2A Sectional 3 Wrestling Tournament Format: This is a seeded, six-team, wrestleback-for-true-second format-style tournament held on 3 mats. Teams: Benton Community, Clear Creek-Amana, Columbus-Winfield-Mt Union, Mid-Prairie, Solon & Williamsburg Location: Williamsburg High School - New gymnasium 810 West Walnut Street Date/Time: First round matches will begin at noon on Saturday, February 4th. Weigh-Ins: 10 am in the wrestling room. Deadlines: Statisticians have until 6 pm on February 2nd to enter their lineups. In addition, they`ll have until 11 pm on February 3rd to enter the seeding criteria information for each of their wrestlers. Seeding Criteria*: (1) Has wrestled 10 or more matches (2) Returning state place winner then qualifier (3) Returning district qualifier (4) Record winning percentage (5) Record wins *NOTE: This tournament will also be using head to head competition to seed wrestlers. Coaches will have from 02/02/2017 at 06:01 p.m. until 02/03/2017 at 11:00 p.m. to login and indicate the other wrestlers in the bracket that their wrestler has beaten. The wrestlers will first be placed in order using the seeding criteria above, then any wrestler that has beaten a wrestler within 2 slot(s) above him and has not lost to any wrestler below the wrestler will get moved ahead of the wrestler he/she beat. If a wrestler has beaten a wrestler but lost to another wrestler below the wrestler he/she beat, that wrestler will not be moved. Awards: The Top 3 place winners at each weight class will receive medals. 1st & 2nd place winners in each weight class will advance to next weekend`s district tournament at Fairfield. The Top 2 placing teams will move onto the Regional Duals being held on Tuesday, February 7th at 6 pm at a site yet to be determined.
