Dec 19, 2018 Attention: Wrestling Coach: The 2019 Lamar Savage Wrestling Tournament will be held Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at the Lamar Community Building. We will be using track wrestling this year for the registration of your kids as well as for the brackets and we will use the mat side entry so you do not need to enter any stats. The teams competing in the tournament this year will include Baca County, Brush, Burlington, Cheyenne Wells, County Line, Crowley County, Dumas TX, Fowler, Holly, Lamar, Las Animas, Limon, Merino, Stratton, Swink, Yuma. Weigh Ins: 8:00 am- at the Lamar Community Building-610 South 6th street. There will be a 2lbs growth allowance. Please notify me if you are wrestling on Friday or Thursday and Friday so I can notify the teams of any additional consecutive day weight allowances. Seeding: Your seeding information will be entered into track wrestling and more information on entering your wrestlers will be sent through e-mail. Approximate Schedule: 8:00 Weigh in?Lamar Community Building (2lb growth allowance) 9:30AM -Coaches meeting ? Community Building 10:00 - 1:00 First 2 rounds (4 mats) 1:00 - 1:30 Lunch 1:30 - Wrestle backs & Championship rounds (4 mats) SPECTATOR ADMISSION $6:00 ? Students $8.00 Adults Team Cost: $150.00 per team. Location: The tournament site is located at the Lamar Community Building (610 South 6th St.) Awards: We will give 2 team awards, medals to the top 4 finishers and ribbons to the 5th & 6th place finishers. Concessions: Available at the tournament. Hospitality: We will have a hospitality room available for coaches, workers and officials. JV Wrestlers: If you have some extra wrestlers you would like to put into the tournament, please enter them into track wrestling along with your varsity wrestlers and we will put them into the varsity bracket-if we end up with more than 16 kids in a bracket, we will pull some JV kids out of the bracket and create a JV bracket. The JV wrestlers will not score points for your team and they will be drawn in the bracket. Please do not enter any seeding information for your JV wrestlers and designate them as non-scoring when entering them into track wrestling.
