West Anchorage Christmas Classic December 14th-15th To: Coaches, Athletic Directors, & Administrators Date: Friday, November 30, 2012 From: Shawn Silverthorn, West High Head Coach Scott Kniefel, Tournament Director Thursday, December 13th Coaches seeding meeting (Room 16) 7:00pm Friday, December 14h Weigh-ins (98=99) 3:00pm Wrestling starts 4:30pm Saturday, December 15th Weigh in (98=100) 8:00am Wrestling Begins 9:30pm Championship Finals 5:30pm Tournament Format: We will be trying to get as many wrestlers into the tournament as possible, but there will only be one scorer for each team in the tournament. We will be using a 32 man bracket to accommodate all wrestlers, but any wrestler who is eliminated will be entered into our secondary tournament. It is our goal to ensure that each wrestler will get 4 matches (if not more). Changes will be accepted at the coaches meeting and you will need to designate your scoring wrestler in each weight class. We will seed up to six wrestlers per weigh class; the remaining wrestlers will be drawn in. Awards: We have medals for the first, second, and third place wrestlers, as well as outstanding wrestler and first place team. Entry Fees: The entry fee for the tournament is $250.00 and it must be paid prior to participation. Checks can be made out to West High School. Teams with 10 or fewer wrestlers can be entered for $150. Rosters: Rosters are due on or before Wednesday, December 12th at noon on trackwrestling.
