USAWCT reserves the right to combine weight classes to ensure each wrestler has matches.- Wrestlers will be seeded by Girls Only Record and Overall Record (Girls & Boys) winning percentage
- Wrestlers must register for a weight class. If weight is missed on day of tournament the wrestler will be moved up a weight class, but their seeding criteria may not carry up to the higher weight with them.
- Only Sanctioned CT USA Clubs may submit tournament registrations online no later than 10pm on February 10th, 2022
- Wrestlers who are not attached to a sanctioned club are requested to contact Tournament Director.
- NO OUT of STATE WRESTLERS
- All registrations must be accompanied with a valid USA Wrestling card number for each listed wrestler.
- Last-minute USA Wrestling cards may be purchased at www.usawmembership.com
- Pre-registered wrestlers who do not show up for the tournament will be charged the full registration fee. The submitting club is responsible for this fee to be paid the morning of the tournament along with all the other registered wrestlers on the registration form. A single check must be brought to weigh-ins the morning of weigh in to complete the registration process. All checks must be made-out to USAWCT
- $25/wrestler. NO family cap.
- $5.00 admission fee / Free age 12 and under, or if you hold a current USA Coaches card, all fans will be required to stay in the stands and wear a mask.
- Club Directors will pick up their Wrestlers Weigh-in cards at the Registration Table when paying for their club.
- All no-show wrestlers weigh in cards are to be given to the head table at the close of weigh ins. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR REMOVAL OF SCRATCHED WRESTLERS AND PROPER TOURNAMENT SET UP AND OPERATION.
• All wrestlers with braces on their teeth must have protective mouth guards.
• Head gear will be required for all age groups per USA Wrestling rules.
• Tech Falls occur when a 12 point margin is achieved, this rule applies to all age groups.
- Only coaches who hold a current USA Wrestling coaches’ card will be permitted to enter the mat area. Coaches Card must be worn on a lanyard and visible.
- A maximum of two people are allowed in each wrestlers corner. You will not be permitted to hang around the wrestling surfaces unless you are coaching. If the wrestler is on deck or in the hole they must sit down or be off to the side and not blocking the spectator’s view.
- You will not be permitted to bring video cameras onto the competition area, unless you are authorized to be on the mat as a coach. The two coaches rule still applies and the coaching requirements above also apply. This area will be limited to wrestlers, coaches and tournament personnel.
- The wrestling surfaces will be cordoned off from the General Public. Only coaches with the proper identification will be allowed in this area when they have someone wrestling. We will be constantly monitoring this area and removing people who should not be there, if you are found to be in violation of these rules, you will be asked to leave the premises.
Code of Conduct
• The Code of Conduct Rules will be strictly enforced. This code of conduct has been established to ensure that there is a defined method for the handling of unacceptable conduct at USAWCT sanctioned wrestling events.
• The code of conduct is described in the document posted on www.ctusawrestling.com
Notice
• Each Club’s Director or designated person for that club will check in with the Tournament Director, inform the Director of any known NO SHOW wrestlers. There are no refunds for no-shows.
• All wrestlers must check in by the end of the weigh-in time period to verify they do not have any contagious skin conditions. Wrestlers will not be admitted if they are not checked in on time.
• It is the responsibility of the Club Directors, or the designated person for that club, to check with the head person running the weigh-in area to see if any wrestlers have not checked in.
Food & Concessions
• We will be selling food & drinks in the cafeteria.
• There will be no food or drinks allowed in the gym.
