Region 1-4A Wrestling Tournament Letter 2023-2024

Location and Date: Westside High School on January 27, 2024

Coaches,

Westside High School will be hosting the Region 1-4A Tournament this season. This tournament will identify the All-Region Wrestlers as well as qualify the top 4 Wrestlers in each weight class for the Upper State Tournament. We will also have JV/MS pools.

Details Below:
· The Tournament will run on FLO. The tournament director is Todd Polly: wrestlingislife@twc.com
· Varsity seeds based off the Region Handbook Criteria (Region Record, Head-to-Head, Overall Record)
· JV/MS placed in pool format (No Seniors allowed in Sub-Varsity Pools)
· No tournament fee for Varsity ($10 per JV/MS entered, payable to Westside High School Wrestling)
· We will recognize a lower-weight and upper-weight MOW for Varsity
· Buses park in student-parking lot & enter by Aux Gym (Spectators enter @ the front of the Main Gym)
· Weigh-In time is at 8:00 AM (Coaches Meeting to follow at 8:45 AM)
· Wrestling will start at 9:00 AM (We will take one break for lunch for the officials)
· Hospitality room available for coaches/officials for both breakfast and lunch
· Weigh-Ins will take place in the Commons (This area will remain open for team tables/restrooms)
· Varsity Wrestling (Two Mats) in Main Gym and JV/MS in Aux Gym (2 Mats)
·Tickets for the event will be $7 (Can be purchased at the door or online at westsideathletics.org)
