Woodmont Wildcat Invitational

  Date: December 1st & 2nd (Friday & Saturday)
  Weigh Ins: 5:00 pm on Friday / 8:00 am on Saturday
  Start Time: 6:00 pm on Friday / 9:00 am on Saturday
  Cost: $250.00 for 1 Team / $400 for 2 teams
  Format: Double Elimination Individual Tournament Friday Night & Saturday
             -Wrestlers who go 0-2 or 1-2 will be pooled into groups to get additional matches.
  Matches: The goal is to get each wrestler at least 5 matches depending on bracket and weight class.
  Team Awards: 2 Team trophies - 1st and 2nd place based on team points, pooled wrestlers will not be scored.
  
 Individual Awards: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for each weight class. 
 3 MOW awards (Lightweight 106-132, Middleweight 138-165, and Heavyweight 175-285).
  Hospitality Room – Dinner Friday Night. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided on Saturday in the hospitality room.
  Locker Rooms – made available for each team to utilize. Woodmont High School will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items.
  Team Scoring Traditional tournament scoring will be used. Wrestlers who get pooled after going 0-2 or 1-2 will not be scored for team points.
  Special Notes:
  
  1. We will be running the tournament on floarena.
  2. There will be no re-seeding Friday once weigh-in begin.  You miss weight or miss the bus your opponent receives a forfeit.
  3. Final rosters need to be entered in floarena by 11:59pm 11/29 Wednesday night. No subs on Friday or bumping.
 


 

Tournament Schedule:

  Friday, December 1st 5:00 pm – weigh-ins
 6:00 pm – first round on 4 mats in main gym. We will wrestle to the championship quarterfinals and thru the consolation 2nd round.
  Saturday, December 2nd
 8:00 am – Weigh-ins (Scratch +1 lb.)
 9:00 am – Championship Quarterfinals Round (4 Mats)
 We will do our best to not take breaks unless the tournament software requires us to.
  
 Seeding:
 
  1. Seeding for the tournament will be done by floareana.
    1. 2023 State Placer
    2. 2023 State Qualifier
    3. Previous years State Placer or Qualifier
    4. 2023 season record W = 2pts. L = -1pt.
    5. 2022-23 record W = 2pts. L = -1pt.
 

 

 IMPORTANT: Entry links will be sent 1 week prior to the tournament and the window will be open until 11:59pm on 11/29 Wednesday prior to the tournament. No subbing or bumping on Friday.  Coaches, please do your best to fill every weight class.
