Yojiro Uetake was won Olympic gold medals in 1964 and 1968 for Japan and was a three-time undefeated NCAA champion for Oklahoma State (1964-66). Don Behm was a two-time All-American for Michigan State and placed second to Uetake at the 1968 Olympics. Uetake and Behm didn't face each other during the 1968 Olympics. competition.
