The Program: Edinboro (Episode 1)

Nov 12, 2014

In episode one of The Program: Edinboro, we go way back -back before Edinboro had a wrestling program- and hear from Jim McDonald, the athletic director who brought in Bruce Baumgartner and Mike Deanna to build Edinboro Wrestling from scratch. McDonald was handed the blueprint for how to develop a viable program by Dan Gable, and he worked endlessly with his two up and coming coaches to put the Fighting Scots on the map. Enter Sean O'Day. Shortly after making the move to d1, the now established Edinboro wrestling team needed something (someone) to elevate the program's status to new heights. We found the man, Sean O'Day, who was beset with this responsibility.
