It wasn't until he was in middle school when Reece Humphrey learned that his father was not only a wrestler, but a World silver medalist. Reece came into wrestling on his own and was successful right away. After winning 3 Indiana state high school championships Reece was eying an NCAA title for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He came up just short of his college dream but there was more. Since then Reece Humphrey has made three World Teams in five years and there was plenty of drama through those five years. Winning the World Teams Trials but not yet being on the team, special overseas competitions, special Olympic wrestle offs and the elimination of a weight class. Having a wife and two kids has given Reece perspective and provides him motivation when he hits the tough parts of training.
