As we start to wind down the NCAA wrestling season, we start to ramp up the international styles leading toward the Olympic Trials, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, to be held in 2021 and the 2021 World Championships.

The Matteo Pellicone is coming up soon and will serve as a ranking series event where wrestlers will try to earn points that will count toward seeding for the 2021 World Championships which will take place this October in Oslo, Norway.

Both the World Championships and the Matteo Pellicone, March 4-7 in Rome, Italy, will be streaming live on FloWrestling.

The United States will be sending a strong squad to the tournament, you can take a look at all of the current entries here.

74kg stands out as the most exciting weight class featuring 5x World and Olympic Champion Jordan Burroughs. While Burroughs looks to be the favorite to win the weight, he won't be a shoe in. The toughest test standing in his way will be 2x World Champion Frank Chamizo of Italy. Along with his two World titles, Chamizo has won a total of five World and Olympic medals.

Burroughs and Chamizo have squared off four times with the American leading the series 3-1. Here we take a look back at all four of their meetings in anticipation of them meeting again this weekend.

The first time these two squared off was in a highly promoted and highly anticipated match at the 2018 Beat The Streets event in New York City. Both wrestlers were returning World Champions from 2017, Burroughs having won at 74kg and Chamizo coming up in weight after having defeated JB's longtime teammate, James Green, in the 2017 gold medal match at 70kg.

The second time these two tussled was at the 2018 Yasar Dogu in Istanbul, Turkey. The Beat The Streets match took place in the spring and was quickly followed up by this rematch that summer. This was the most highly anticipated bout of the entire tournament and it did not disappoint.

The third meeting between the two came at the 2018 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Burroughs dropped a last second heart breaker to Zaurbek Sidakov of Russia in the quarterfinals and Chamizo lost to Sidakov in the semifinals. That set up this bronze medal match between the two defending champions. This barnburner will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Jordan Burroughs vs Frank Chamizo (2019 Dan Kolov)

While we can consider Burroughs the favorite to win this match if it happens, he is by no means a lock here. Jordan has an amazing offensive arsenal, but Chamizo is one of the most crafty defensive wrestlers on the planet.

74kg will be wrestled this Sunday, March 7 starting at 4:30am ET with finals beginning at 12:00pm ET. You can watch all the action live and on demand right here on FloWrestling.
