Chamizo has been one of the biggest stars on the international scene for quite some time now and the star power doesn't seem to be going any time soon. Chamizo began wrestling at the age of seven in Cuba when he stumbled on a wrestling facility after some curiosity. Chamizo began his senior level career in 2010 at only the age of 17. Out the gate, Chamizo was a gold medalist at the Pan Am championships and won bronze at the senior world championships that same year. Chamizo faced some adversity in 2011 finishing 12th at the world championships, the Cuban federation suspended him for two years citing weight management difficulties.
