Shayne Van Ness, the #1 wrestler in the country at 138 lbs and the #2 pound-for-pound, will be continuing his college career at Penn State University.

The two-time National Prep champion announced his commitment via Instagram.

Van Ness chose Penn State over Cornell and Ohio State.

The New Jersey native finished his junior season with his second National Prep title and the #1 spot in the 132 lbs rankings, a spot he'd held since defeating Dom Serrano and Jesse Mendez at last year's Who's #1. Van Ness was slated to defend his #1 ranking at this year's Who's #1, but suffered a broken tibia and was forced to withdraw.
