Since last year, both Mastrogiovanni and Gallagher have added to their impressive resumes. Mastrogiovanni's season was cut short due to injury but not before he made the Ironman finals at 152.

One of his most impressive wins came at Cadet trials in 2019 in his best of three series against Alex Facundo, the current #1 at 170. While Facundo ultimately took the series and went on to win his second Cadet World Bronze, Mastrogiovanni proved that he's one of the best high school wrestlers in the country by winning match 1.

Like Mastrogiovanni, Paddy Gallagher missed his own post season as the Ohio state tournament was canceled due to COVID-19 but had an otherwise excellent season. He was a Doc B finalist and took home an Iron Man title.

Gallagher showed off his impressive gas tank in the Iron Man finals against Andrew Cerniglia, the #20 recruit in the class of 2020. Down 3-0 toward the end of the second period, Gallagher stormed back to tie the match in the second before earning the final 4-3 lead in the third.

Gallagher, an Ohio State recruit is the #7 recruit in the class of 2021 while future Oklahoma State Cowboy Mastrogiovanni sits just two spots behind him at #9. Both wrestlers project as future 165-pounders, so this could be a preview of a budding rivalry. You won't want to miss Gallagher vs Mastrogiovanni on October 3.
