Artur Taymazov Stripped Of 2012 Olympic Gold Medal
Artur Taymazov has had his 2012 Olympic gold medal stripped after testing positive for oral turinabol.
The International Olympic Committee has ordered Artur Taymazov to be stripped of his 2012 Olympic gold medal.
The news comes just a few years after the heavyweight from Uzbekistan was stripped of his 2008 gold from Beijing.
It is unclear at this time what medal, if any, Tervel Dlagnev will be awarded as both the gold and silver medalist from the London 120kg weight class have now lost their medals due to testing positive for banned substances.
