The nation's #1 pound-for-pound wrestler AJ Ferrari has released his school list. The five colleges below are where he will be taking official visits to over the next several months.

The list includes the usual suspects in Penn State and Ohio State, who have finished 1-2 the past three seasons, as well as Oklahoma State, Rutgers, and Nebraska. The #1 overall recruit in the class of 2020, Ferrari projects as a 197 in college but may grow into a heavyweight.

AJ Ferrari School List

  • Oklahoma State
  • Rutgers
  • Penn State
  • Ohio State
  • Nebraska

Oklahoma State has always been the presumptive favorite, as he grew up in Allen, Texas, which is within the Cowboy's RTC range. He will be finishing up his high school career at Allen high school. OKST is also recruiting Braxton Amos, so they may be hoping one grows into a heavyweight, but if both are 197s they probably won't get both.

Rutgers moved onto everyone's radar when the family moved to New Jersey, with both Ferrari brothers starting this past season at Blair Academy before finishing the year at Bergen Catholic. The Scarlet Knights seem to be in the Top-2 along with the Cowboys.

Penn State has Michael Beard at 197 and Seth Nevills at heavyweight, but they also appeared on Amos list as well, so clearly the Nittany Lions continue to target high profile talent among the 2020 graduates.

Ohio State has Daniel Kervkliet coming in at heavyweight, so they seem to be recruiting Ferrari as a 197 to replace Kollin Moore. Again, Amos has the Buckeyes listed on his list as well.

If you follow Ferrari on social media, you know he's a big fan of double legs, which in part explains his affinity with Nebraska. The Huskers could use a 197 or heavyweight of Ferrari's caliber.

A two-time Ironman champ and 2018 Cadet world bronze medalist, expect Ferrari's recruiting process to play out in public and be among the most followed stories of the summer by college wrestling fans.
