Time to take stock of that young Division I talent, of which there are several "buckets" we can put them in.

There are second-year freshmen, true freshmen who are starting and true freshmen who have competed unattached all season. Rarer yet are those who are grayshirting or have grayshirted, those who have come back from a Mormon mission and then there's Mickey Phillippi, who graduated in 2016 and somehow is still a freshman.

Below you'll find a record or update for every single member of the Class of 2018 Big Board and the notable members who redshirted in the Class of 2017 and are having an impact now.

Numbers next to names refer to their final Big Board Ranking here 2018 or here 2017

125: Highest Ranked Freshman: #17 Pat Glory, Princeton

A true freshman, Glory is currently #10 at 125. He's been great this year, earning third at Midlands. He has just three losses: two to #2 Spencer Lee and one to #4 Piccininni.

Total Ranked Freshmen: 2

Other Ranked Freshmen: #11 Vito Arujau, Cornell

Arujau was 11th in the Class of 2017. He is currently ranked 13th and he and Glory will meet this weekend in a dual.

Other Impact Freshmen: #34 Malik Heinselman is having a solid year. He was pulled into starting service halfway through and is currently 19-5, winning Edinboro Open last weekend.

ASU's Brandon Courtney was #76 and is the starter for ASU with a 12-11 record. Dack Punke is 8-5 for Mizzou.

#96 of 2017 was Bryce West who is 9-12 for Northern Illinois.

Redshirt Report:

Daton sat atop our Big Board in 2017 before redshirting. He's 23-1 on the year with titles at Reno and Scuffle and is currently ranked second at the weight.

Total Ranked Freshmen: 4

In contrast to 125 where most of the freshmen making an impact are TRUE freshmen, at 133 it's mostly 2017 recruits. Only Roman Bravo-Young is a ranked true frosh. As noted above, Phillippi graduated in 2016 and is one of the biggest surprises this season.

Other Ranked Freshmen:

#11 Austin Gomez, Iowa State - Ranked 8th

#12 Roman Bravo-Young, Penn State - Ranked 16th

#16 Mickey Phillippi, Pitt - Ranked 5th

A 2017 prospect, Demas is 20-7 for the Sooners and ranked 13th.

Total Ranked Freshmen: 2

Other Ranked Freshmen: #44 Max Murin, Iowa

Also a Class of 2017 product, Murin is ranked 18th and reached the Midlands finals. He's 11-4 on the year.

Other Impact Freshmen: #87 Mitch Moore is 15-3 with only quality losses as a starter for Virginia Tech.

Another true freshmen, Marshall Keller, is 18-10 in starting duty for Princeton. He was ranked #67 on the 2018 Board.

Redshirt Report:

In addition to the above, it's a terrific crop of 141s. Matthews just beat Kinner in the finals at Edinboro. Woods' only loss was to Nick Lee in the Scuffle finals.

#15 Quinn Kinner (Ohio State), 16-2

#21 Real Woods (Stanford), 11-1

#44 Michael Blockhus (Northern Iowa), 20-4

#79 Cole Matthews (Pitt), 20-4

#98 Alex Felix (Ohio State), 7-0

149: Highest Ranked Freshman: #15 Kaden Gfeller, Oklahoma State

It's sort of crazy that Gfeller already has two Southern Scuffle titles. He's been excellent this year with three top 10 wins and losses to only #1 and #2. He's ranked fourth in the nation.

Total Ranked Freshmen: 5

Other Ranked Freshmen:

Along with HWT, 149 boasts the most ranked freshmen, with two in the top 5. O'Connor was third at CKLV, Berge third at Scuffle.

Other Impact Freshmen:

#20 in 2017, Jarod Verkleeren is 13-5. He's placed twice at the Scuffle and has split time with Brady Berge for Penn State.

Yahya Thomas is a redshirt freshman that has made an impact. He's not ranked, and wasn't ranked on the 2017 Big Board, but has just recently moved from 141 to 149, had a solid RS campaign and is 12-8 this year.

#47 Parker Filius is 8-13 for Purdue. #73 Breyden Bailey is 9-9 as the starter for Indiana.

Redshirt Report:

When you combine the redshirts with the freshmen that are already having impact as starters, the future at 149 is bright. Sasso was third at Midlands and just beat Lee to win Edinboro. Teemer was sixth at Midlands and one of Sasso's losses. (The other was Micah Jordan.)

#4 Sammy Sasso (Ohio State), 12-2

#8 Jacori Teemer (Arizona State), 5-2

#9 Brock Hardy (Nebraska) - On Mormon Mission

#13 Brayton Lee (Minnesota), 17-6

#41 Malik Johnson (Missouri), 4-1

#46 Mason Phillips (North Carolina) - Injured (0-0)

#56 Josiah Rider (NC State), 5-3

#59 Alex Lloyd (SD State), 0-0

157: Highest Ranked Freshman: Unranked Zach Hartman, Bucknell

Probably the biggest surprise of the year. Hartman, a true freshman who wasn't ranked in the Top 100 of his class, is 19-5 on the year and took third at Midlands. He's ranked 12th currently.

Total Ranked Freshmen: 3

Other Ranked Freshmen:

#42 Jarrett Jacques (Missouri) - Ranked 13th

#71 Josh Humphreys (Lehigh) - Ranked 14th

Other Impact Freshmen: Here are three true frosh who aren't ranked but are having an immediate impact. Justin Ruffin, a true freshmen at SIUE is 13-6 as a starter on the year. I rated him the 25th best prospect of 2018.

#30 of 2018 was Markus Hartman, who's 11-5 and starting for Army. And #40 Quincy Monday is 16-10 starting for Princeton.

#14 of the 2017 class, Quentin Hovis, is 8-7 for Navy.

Redshirt Report:

Another strong point for the Class of 2018. Lewan beat his top five teammate Alec Pantaleo in wrestle-offs and at the MSU Open. He also has a win over Mattox, who just won the Edinboro Open.

David Carr's only blemish was to fellow redshirt Peyton Mocco.

In off the mat news, #32 Frankie Gissendanner is seeking a release from Rider.

Other Impact Freshmen: Stephen Glasgow was #26 in the 2017 class. He's 6-6 as Rutgers starter. #16 in that class was Kaleb Romero, who was 7-6 as Ohio State's starter until recently when senior Te'Shan Campbell dropped from 174. #85 of the same year was Nick Kiussis, who is 17-6 for WVU.

Starting for Ohio is the #94 prospect from last year, Colt Yinger, who is 12-6 on the season.

After a 17-2 redshirt season, Labs is 19-4 and #9, the highest ranked freshman at the weight.

Total Ranked Freshmen: 4

Other Ranked Freshmen: Earlier, I wrote that Mickey Phillippi was the surprise freshman of the year but for the Class of 2017, that honor might go to Brit Wilson, who wasn't ranked on the Big Board but is currently 10th in the nation.

#33 Ethan Smith was just put in to the Buckeye starting lineup and immediately was ranked #17 with a 14-5 record. #78 Marcus Coleman is 21-7 for ISU and just got back into the rankings at #20.

Other Impact Freshmen: 2017's #36, Jacob Oliver is 23-4 as Edinboro's starter. #39 Travis Stefanik is 14-9 for Princeton.  #31 Anthony Mantanona is 10-12 for Oklahoma.

#77 AJ Pedro is 7-6 for Brown.

Redshirt Report:

Trent Hidlay is having the best redshirt year at 174. He's 21-2 with bonus in 12 of his wins. His only two losses were at the Scuffle to David McFadden and Joe Smith.

Redshirt Report:

Really great group here. Brooks wrestled 174 at Midlands but will be 184 next year. Hoffman placed fifth at Midlands and just won Edinboro.

Other Impact Freshmen: #18 Jake Woodley is 13-7 for the Sooners.

True frosh, #47 Brandon Whitman was put into the starting lineup for UNC midway through the season.

Redshirt Report:

Dang it! This is the third time I'm gonna say "surprise of the year." But Tanner Sloan was a complete unknown on the national scene. Six months later, he's a Midlands runner-up by beating Jacob Warner and Fargo champ Davison.

In contrast, Beard is quietly having an absurd year. He's 10-0 winning titles at Clarion, Franklin & Marshall and Edinboro. The only match that wasn't a bonus point win was a 13-9 decision over Greg Bulsak, who's currently ranked 15th.

#11 Michael Beard (Penn State), - Grayshirting

#49 Lucas Davison (Northwestern), 9-4

#63 Dakota Howard (Virginia Tech), 9-2

#91 Josh Stillings (Drexel), 0-0

UR Tanner Sloan (SD State), 21-2

285: Highest Ranked Freshman: #1 Gable Steveson, Minnesota

The #1 recruit in the country last year became the top heavyweight in DI just a couple months into his career. He's undefeated with a 68% bonus rate and a win over #2.

Total Ranked Freshmen: 5

Until Tuesday, when Tate Orndorff fell out of the rankings, HWT led the country with six ranked freshmen. Still, it's quite impressive. We told you the next wave of big men were coming, and they are making their presence felt. Three of the five ranked are TRUE freshmen!

Other Ranked Freshmen:

#3 Mason Parris (Michigan) - Ranked 6th

#21 Trent Hillger (Wisconsin) - Ranked 7th

#10 Chase Singletary (Ohio State) - Ranked 16th

#54 Zach Elam (Missouri) - Ranked 19th

Other Impact Freshmen: #53 Brandon Metz is 13-10 for NDSU. From way back in the Class of 2015, Tate Orndorff was #43 before he took his Mormon mission. He's 19-6 on the season for UVU.

Redshirt Report:

And don't worry, there's even more coming. Cass only lost at Midlands to national qualifiers Matt Stencel and Jere Heino. Nevills' only loss was in OT to #13 Thomas. Reid has seven losses: one to Seth Nevills (by 3), one in OT and five by a single point.

#14 Anthony Cassioppi (Iowa), 19-2

#22 Seth Nevills (Penn State), 13-1 - Grayshirting

#64 Isaac Reid (Lock Haven), 11-7

#66 Austin Emerson (Nebraska), 19-6

#69 Kyle Lightner (Rutgers), 7-5
