The FloNationals and Super 32 Champ took 3rd at the Binghamton Open.


125lbs - #27 - Alex Thomsen, Nebraska*

Won Open division at Grand View.


125lbs - #37 - Malik Heinselman, Ohio State*

3rd at Ohio Intercollegiates. 


125lbs - #38 - Patrick McKee, Minnesota*

Lost 10-4 in the Bison Open finals to ASU's Ryan Millhof.


125lbs - #85 - Nico Aguilar, Rutgers*

0-3 at Journeymen.


133lbs - # - Roman Bravo-Young, Penn State

Began his official college career as a Nittany Lion starter with a fall over Kent State's Tim Rooney.


133lbs - #83 - Jack Davis, Penn State*

2-2 at Binghamton Open.


133lbs - #88 - Anthony Madrigal, Oklahoma*

1-2 at Journeymen.


141lbs - #15 - Quinn Kinner, Ohio State*

Won the Open Division at Ohio Intercollegiates. 


141lbs - #32 - Frankie Gissendanner, Rider*

Dominated at the East Stroudsburg Open.


141lbs - #41 - Michael Blockus, Northern Iowa*

Won FR/SO division at Grand View.


141lbs - #75 - Jeremy Schoenherr, Wisconsin*

Won Silver Division at Luther Open.


149lbs - #4 - Sammy Sasso, Ohio State*

Runner-Up to Buckeye starting SR Micah Jordan at Ohio Intercollegiates. Jordan won 9-7.


149lbs - #13 - Brayton Lee, Minnesota*

Lost in the finals of the Bison Open to Josh Maruca (ASU), 5-4


149lbs - #73 - Brock Mauller, Missouri*

Won Elite division at Kaufman/Brand.


157lbs - #5 - David Carr, Iowa State* & #31 - Peyton Robb, Nebraska*

Carr won Grand View Open division beating Iowa's Jeremiah Moody, and Robb, went 3-2 and  didn't place.


157lbs - #25 - Justin Ruffin, SIUE

Ruffin is starting for the Cougars. He notched a 5-1 win over Indiana's Jake Danishek and an OT win vs. ISU's Chase Straw.


157lbs - #28 - Will Lewan, Michigan*

Placed 3rd at Ohio Intercollegiates losing to Ohio State's Elijah Cleary.


157lbs - #29 - Ryan Thomas, Minnesota*

Reached the finals at the Bison Open where he fell to the Sun Devils' Christian Pagdilao. 


157lbs - #42 - Jarrett Jacques, Missouri*

Placed 2nd in the Elite division at Kaufman/Brand.


157lbs - #71 - Josh Humphreys, Lehigh*

Dominated at Binghamton Open. Three pins, including the finals, a tech, and a major. Humphreys is technically still in redshirt but word is he'll start as Cortland Schuyler is injured. Just reading the tea leaves here, but I expect to see him vs Pantaleo (MICH) next week.


157lbs - #100 - Jake Silverstein, Nebraska*

Went 1-2 and DNP'd at Grand View.


165lbs - #50 - Tyler Dow, Wisconsin*

Won Silver Division at Luther Open.


165lbs - #83 - Josh Kim, Harvard*

4th at Binghamton Open.


165lbs - #93 - Nelson Brands, Iowa*

Won Open division at Grand View with all bonus.


165lbs - #94 - Colt Yinger, Ohio

The FloNationals Champ is starting as a true freshman for the Bobcats. He registered a 16-6 major against Campbell in their first dual of the year.


174lbs - #18 - Trent Hidlay, NC State*

Posted wins over former All American Brandon Womack (Cornell) and Mason Manville (PSU) to win Binghamton Open.


174lbs - #43 - Michael O'Malley, Drexel*

4th at ESU Open.


174lbs - #57 - Leo Tarantino, Harvard*

0-2 at Binghamton Open.


184lbs - #2 - Aaron Brooks, Penn State (Greyshirt)

Last week he won Wyoming's Cowboy Open, this week he won Northern Colorado Open.


184lbs - #10 - Gavin Hoffman, Ohio State*

Won the Open Division at Ohio Intercollegiates. 


184lbs - #45 - Joel Shapiro, Iowa State*

Won Grand View FR/SO division with three pins and a major.


184lbs - #53 - Jared Krattiger, Wisconsin*

Won Silver Division at Luther Open.


285lbs - #1 - Gable Steveson, Minnesota*

Redshirting for now, Steveson and beat Arizona State's Tanner Hall, who was 3rd at NCAA's two season ago, in the finals at the Bison Open.


285lbs - #3 - Mason Parris, Michigan*

Placed 3rd at Ohio Intercollegiates losing to Ohio State's Chase Singletary 15-9 in semi's.


285lbs - #14 - Anthony Cassioppi, Iowa* & #66 - Austin Emerson, Nebraska*

Cassioppi rolled to another title, this one at Grand View where he recorded four first period falls. In the first round, he pinned Emerson, who cam back to take 3rd.


285lbs - #64 - Isaac Reid, Lock Haven*

Finished Runner-Up to American's Niko Camacho at ESU Open.


285lbs - #69 - Kyle Lightner, Rutgers*

2-2, did not place at ESU Open.


Others from the Class of 2018:

125 - Brendon Fenton (OH) is starting for Pitt. He won 5-3 vs. Bakersfield. Kyle Biscoglia (IA) reached the finals of the Grand View Open FR/SO division for UNI.

133 - Fargo Champ Ty Smith (NV) went 2-0 for Drexel, scoring 13 and 16 points to start his career for the Dragons. Rutgers' Malcolm Robinson (NJ) went 2-1 at Journeymen. Caleb Rea of West Virginia went 2-0.

141 - Clay Carlson (MN) of SDSU won the Bison Open.

157 - Northern Iowa's Cayd Lara (IA) had 4 pins and a 14-7 win en route to a title in the FR/SO division at Grand View. Bucknell's Zach Hartman, a state runner-up to Carter Starocci last year, beat Buffalo's Alex Smythe.

165 - Danny Braunagel won Kaufman/Brand Elite division for the Illini.

174 - Cole Moody lost in the finals of UNC Open for Wyoming. Zach Braunagel joined his brother on the top of the podium at Kaufman/Brand.

197 - Garrett Joles (WI) took 3rd for the Gophers at Bison Open. FloNationals Champ Beau Yineman (WI), now a Badger, won Dan Gable Open.

285 - NC State's Deonte Wilson went 3-0 to win his Journeymen pool.


High Schoolers:

Sr. Gabe Tagg (North Carolina) - Runner-Up at UNC Open

Sr. JoJo Aragona (Rutgers) - Placed 3rd at Binghamton Open, losing only to #20-Nick Gil (Navy).

Sr. Austin Cooley (Pitt) - 5th at Binghamton Open.

Sr. John Birchmeier (Navy) - Beat #20-Anthony Pelusi (F&M) in Binghamton semi's before falling to #12-Matt Voss (George Mason).

Sr. Eric Barnett (Wisconsin) - Won Dan Gable Open with all bonus.

Jr. Julian Tagg (Uncommitted) - 3rd at UNC Open
