It's certainly a good day if you're a fan of the Cowboys. Just hours after receiving a verbal from Trevor Mastrogiovanni, Oklahoma State picked up a commitment from Dustin Plott.

About his commitment, Plott told FloWrestling:

It came down to Arizona State, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Penn State. But I really knew where I wanted to go since I was 5 years old.

A state champ for Tuttle high school, Plott will be staying in-state for college. He was 42-0 this past season at 160 after going 43-8 and finishing as the 4A runner-up at 152 pounds his freshman year.

Currently ranked 4th at 170, he made the 74kg UWW Junior finals in April at the U.S. Open, and then followed that up by going undefeated at Junior Duals. Plott finished up his freestyle season by making the Junior Fargo finals.

The junior is part of an already massive haul for OK State. The #4 prospect on the 2020 Big Board, he'll be joined by Akron finalist Konner Doucet and two-time National Prep champ Mastrogiovanni in Stillwater.

Projecting as a 184 at the next level, we have him rated as the fourth best prospect at that weight. Plott made the Super 32 finals in October, and then won titles at both the KC Stampede and Geary during his high school season. He'll be back in Greensoboro at the end of this month looking for a Super 32 belt, so be sure to watch his title quest LIVE on Flo.

Oklahoma State has been pedal to the metal lately with recruiting. The week of Who's #1, Brevin Balmeceda announced his verbal to the Cowboys, shoring up a need at 157. The addition of Plott gives them some flexibility at 184/197, possibly allowing either Plott or current freshman Anthony Montalvo to bulk up to 197.
