Edinboro Beats Clarion 31-6 In EWL Opener
Edinboro closed out 2016 with its first win of the season in a dominating 31-6 victory over Clarion in a dual meet at home on Monday.
Edinboro closed out 2016 with a dominating 31-6 win over Clarion in a dual meet that streamed live on FloWrestling on Monday. The host Fighting Scots had three bonus points to win the opening dual of their Eastern Wrestling League schedule. For the second time this year, Edinboro wore its two-piece compression short and top uniform, also known as the "doublet."
Three athletes competed in the dual who are in the ASICS FloRankings, and all of them won. Edinboro has the rest of this month off and returns to action at the Southern Scuffle, while Clarion's next competition is a road dual at Davidson on January 8. Edinboro's win was the first of the year for Tim Flynn's crew and put the Fighting Scots at 1-3 overall, while the Golden Eagles fell to 0-4 this season.
