Rebecca Oetken - #26 at 190
Tirza Twoteeth - #2 at 235
Grace Stem (Lock Haven) - transfer
Joe Norton went to work this off-season, reloading the cupboards that were partially bare due to graduation. North Central is the only program with double-digit top 30 recruits, including three in the top five. Miller (160) and Twoteeth (207) could start next season. Stem, a two-time All-American, transferred from Lock Haven and could start at 138. Kaelani Shufeldt (110) and Yele Aycock (131) return to the line-up.
2. Iowa — NCAA D1

Harlee Hiller - #4 at 115
Isabella Marie Gonzales - #5 at 115
Bella Williams - #2 at 130
Samantha Sachs - #5 at 130
Adriana Palumbo - #12 at 155
Iowa arguably has the best recruiting class, but the Hawkeyes don’t have any lineup needs. Hiller and Gonzalez will presumably be behind US Open champion Brianna Gonzalez at 117 for the next two seasons, unless one moves up to 124. Williams or Sachs has the best shot of making the line-up next season, at 131 or 138. Palumbo will likely redshirt as she waits for Olympic silver medalist Kennedy Blades (160) to clear out.

Katey Valdez - #2 at 100
Heather Crull - #1 at 110
Rylee Ferranti - #21 at 190
Yu Sakamoto (Northern Michigan) - transfer portal
Alexio Garcia hit the recruiting trail and the portal to land a stellar recruiting class. Crull is a proven senior-level wrestler, and Sakamoto is a U23 World champion from Japan who placed third at the 2025 National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships. Valdez will likely redshirt since returning national finalist Gabby Tedesco is still at 103. The Bearcats could have a formidable start to their line-up, with Tedesco (103), Crull (110), Sakamoto (117), Shelby Moore (124), and Alex Szkotnicki (131).
4. Lehigh (PA) — NCAA D1

Abbi Cooper - #2 at 115

Aubre Krazer - #1 at 130
Mary Manis - #30 at 130
Angelina Jiang - #16 at 155
Brynn Shepardson - #20 at 190
Lehigh landed two U20 World Teamers — Abbi Cooper and Aubre Krazer — to a program that will compete at the inaugural 2026 NCAA Women’s Wrestling Championships. It’s hard to know who will go where during Brazel Marquez’s inaugural season, but she has quality options.

Jazmine Turner - #29 at 115
Molly Allen - #4 at 125
Kailey Benson - #7 at 130
Daniella Nugent - #1 at 140
The Cowboys are only a club team, but they landed quite a haul. Is this a sign of what’s to come in Stillwater? It’s hard to imagine this much talent without a sanctioned program.
6. Grand Valley State (MI) — NCAA D2

Libby Roberts - #7 at 115
Jordyn Fouse - #2 at 145
Maggie Buurma - #8 at 145
Maddison Ward - #28 at 155
Fouse can make an immediate difference and will compete for the 145-pound spot. Roberts could fill in at 110 for returning NCWWC champ Sage Mortimer, who is moving up to 117.
7. William Penn (IA) — NAIA
Top 5 Recruits: 1
Top 10 Recruits: 2
Top 30 Recruits: 2
Avy Perez - #10 at 105
Piper Fowler - #1 at 170
Jake Kadel hit the jackpot with U17 World champion Piper Fowler, who will make an immediate impact. The Statesmen sent two 103-pounders to the NAIA Championships, but neither scored points, so Perez could start this season. This is a championship-caliber team if NAIA champs Mia Palumbo and Caitlyn Davis, and Nigerian Olympians Christianah Ogunsanya and Esther Kolawole are in it.

Alexa Garcia (King) - transfer
Aine Drury (King) - transfer
Dianna Holmes (King) - transfer
Alyssa Guardiola (King) - transfer
Jason Moorman will have a competitive team if Tarleton State adds a D1 women’s wrestling program. Drury is a returning national finalist and US Open champion who will contend for a title at 145 pounds. Holmes is a two-time All-American. Garcia finished fourth at the 2024 National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships. Unlike incoming freshmen, we know what this class can do.

Kaylie Hall - #3 at 170
Grace Leota - #4 at 190
The Blue Hose landed three top 10 recruits after a program-high sixth-place finish at the 2025 National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships. Hall and Leota will compete for the spots between 160 and 207.

Kristina Kent - #7 at 105
Amelia Murphy - #8 at 115
Isis France - #12 at 140
Rookie head coach Bret Fry has needs at almost every weight after losing several key wrestlers to the portal. He got a late start but snagged three quality options for his inaugural season. All three will likely start as he builds his team.
