Wick’s Storied Career
Wick has been a standout everywhere he’s gone, starting in high school. Wick and his twin brother, Zander, became the first set of twins to win California Wrestling State titles at the same time, with Evan winning at 152 pounds and Zander at 145 pounds.
As a Wisconsin Badger, Wick placed third at NCAAs as a freshman, fourth as a sophomore, and missed out on NCAAs as a junior due to Covid 19. He redshirted his senior year to use his Olympic redshirt year and placed fourth at the 74 kg Olympic Trials. He spent four years at Wisconsin before transferring to Cal Poly, where he finished his college career with his second third-place finish.
Now, Wick is an assistant coach at Cal Poly and has continued his wrestling career on the freestyle circuit as a member of the Titan Mercury Wrestling Club.
Haines’s College Prowess
As just a junior in college, Haines already has a storied wrestling career. In his sophomore season, he capped an undefeated regular season with an NCAA title. This season, Haines finished third.
He reached Final X by winning the Senior World Team Trials and looks to continue his standout career with a spot on the World team.
