The Iowa Hawkeye Fan Guide To The US Open
The Iowa Hawkeye Fan Guide To The US Open
All the Iowa Hawkeyes who will be wrestling at the 2025 US Open and how to watch them!

The US Open is an annual wrestling bonanza with over 30 mats. Keeping track of your favorite wrestlers can be difficult, especially for college wrestling fans, which is why we made this handy article.
But what if you're only really interested in following the wrestlers associated with your favorite college? Well, for Penn State fans, we made this, and we made the article you are currently reading for Iowa fans.
Senior Freestyle Entries
61: Austin DeSanto
65: Real Woods
97: Massoma Endene
Perhaps a smaller than usual contingent of Hawks will be in Vegas. No Open for Spencer Lee, as the Olympic silver medalist has already accepted his Final X bid.
I'm not even sure if Endene has moved to Iowa City yet but the two-time U23 Pan-Am champ just announced that he will be using his final year of NCAA eligibility wrestling for the Hawkeyes.
DeSanto, Woods and Endene will start their Open Friday morning (or one o'clock in the afternoon on the East Cast). The semifinals are scheduled to start Friday at 4:00 PM Pacific. Medal matches will start Saturday morning at 10:00 AM Pacific and the finals are set to start at 6:00 PM PT.
U20 Freestyle Entries
57: Dru Ayala
65: Bo Bassett
70: Koye Grebel
74: Joey Kennedy
92: Brody Sampson
125: Michael Mocco
Two of the biggest names in wrestling, Bo Bassett and Michael Mocco, aren't officially part of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club roster, but the blue-chip recruits are both headed to Iowa after they graduate high school in 2026, so you can bet that they will be getting a lot of Hawkeye fan eyeballs on their matches.
The U20 freestyle tournament has a similar structure to the senior level, though the juniors will start on Saturday and end Sunday. Also the brackets are bigger so the quarterfinals aren't until day 2 and the finals are starting a little earlier with a 2:00 PM scheduled start time.
Women's Senior Entries
50: Emilie Gonzalez
50: Ava Bayless
53: Brianna Gonzalez
53: Felicity Taylor
59: Karlee Brooks
59: Emily Frost
59: Bella Williams
62: Nanea Estrella
65: Reese Larramendy
68: Kennedy Blades
76: Kylie Welker
76: Marlynne Deede
Though it's only existed for a couple of seasons, the women's wrestling program at Iowa will be well-represented at the US Open. Recent grad Macey Kilty will get to sit out the Open as she has already accepted her spot in Final X at 65kg.
