Cornell Wrestling Schedule 2023-2024: What To Know

The Cornell Wrestling schedule begins on Nov. 12 at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic. Big Red also faces Ohio State and Missouri in 2023-2024.

The Cornell Wrestling season begins on Nov. 12 as the No.5-ranked team in the FloWrestling preseason poll joins other high-level programs like Penn State at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic.

The Big Red have high expectations this season with the return of defending NCAA National Champion and recently crowned World Champion, Vito Arujau on the roster. Arujau won the World Championship at 61 KG in September in Belgrade. 

But it’s not just Arujau, the No.5-ranked pound-for-pound wrestler in FloWrestling’s rankings, Cornell has on the roster. The No. 13-ranked wrestler, Chris Foca also returns as does the the No.7-ranked 165-pound wrestler Julian Ramirez and the No. 7-ranked 197-pound wrestler Jacob Cardenas. 

The schedule features several marque dual meets, including ones against Ohio State, Missouri and North Carolina State.

When Is The EIWA Championship Tournament?

The Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championship is March 8-9 in Lewisburg, Pa.

Cornell is seeking their third straight EIWA Team Championship in 2024, having won the event in 2022 and 2023. From 2018-2021, Lehigh won the team championship.
