McKendree Inks P4P #12 Savannah Gomez
Pound-for-pound #12 Savannah Gomez has signed with McKendree University.
The reigning three-time national collegiate champions just keep rolling. McKendree University has already signed Shelby Moore (#2 P4P), Destiny Rodriguez (#3 P4P), and Alex Szkotnicki (#11 P4P).
Add #12 pound-for-pound Savannah Gomez to that list.
"I would like to announce that I will be continuing my academic and wrestling career at MCKENDREE UNIVERSITY," Gomez said in an Instagram post. "I want to give thanks to my parents, everyone who has supported and believed in me, and lastly the man up above. I am super grateful for this opportunity and can't wait to see what this next chapter has in store for me."
Gomez was a 2021 Junior National champion who placed eighth earlier this year. The Calexico, California, native shot up the pound-for-pound rankings following her 139-pound title at Super 32 in October. She was also on FloWrestling's 2021 Who's Number One card.
