#4 Hunter Bolen Commits To Virginia Tech

It's starting to pick up. Earlier this evening, #10 Marcus Coleman verballed to Iowa State. Now, #4 Hunter Bolen has committed to wrestle at Virginia Tech.

Bolen checks in as the 4th ranked 160 pounder in the country. A FloNationals finals trip which included a win over Oklahoma State recruit Wyatt Sheets went a long way in boosting his ranking. He has also won Beast of the East and a VA state title for Christiansburg in the last year.

For the Class of 2017, Bolen is the #17 overall recruit for the class. Bolen chose Virginia Tech over NC State. Bolen mentioned the coaching staff and the location as key factors in the decision. Bolen will be surrounded by talent when he heads to campus in 2017 with David McFadden still likely to be around. However, between redshirt years, and potential weight class changes for McFadden, the 165 pound prospect should have little issue starting for four years for the Hokies.

Bolen is gearing up for a run at a Fargo Junior title at 160 pounds next week.
