Fresno State Claims Three Former Clovis Cougars
A trio of Clovis High School wrestlers have decided to stay very, very close to home. According to reports from The Open Mat, Josh and Isaiah Hokit and Kristian Olivas will attend Fresno State and compete for the school’s first wrestling team in 10 years.

Isaiah graduated in 2015 as a four-time California state place-winner and FloNational All-American who originally committed to Drexel. But after one year, he decided to head back to California to wrestle for newly appointed coach Troy Steiner.

Josh Hokit is coming off a state-championship season at Clovis, where he ranked sixth in the ASICS FloRankings. But Josh's talents won't be limited to the mat—he will play football for the Bulldogs, as well.

The third and final Clovis Cougar, Olivas, was also a 2015 graduate and finished as a two-time state place winner. He will transfer to Fresno State from Utah Valley, where he spent his freshman year.

All three former Cougars will look to get Coach Steiner and the newly reinstated Bulldog wrestling team off to a great start when they kick off their season in 2017.
