Spanish Grand Prix Final Results
...
The marathon day in Madrid is over for Team USA.  With the conclusion of the Spanish Grand Prix, we'll see a collection of hardware come back to the States for all 3 styles.

Men's Freestyle mopped up in Madrid with a combined 10 medals, 6 of them gold.

It was a bizarre beggining for our lightweights with Nico Megaludis, Obe Blanc and Frank Perrelli occupying 3 of the last 4 spots on the bracket which set up USA v. USA matches quickly.  OF that trio, Nico Megaludis had the most success with a 5th place finish.  Obe Blanc was 11th in his first action since his 2 year ban.  Frank Perrelli was 18th.

Daniel Dennis' comeback trail continues to be blazed with success.  The former Hawkeye won Gold at 61KG over Jozsef Molnar of Hungary. The Gorilla Hulk AKA Frank Molinaro won gold for team USA at 65KG. Michael Curtis finished 5th.

James Green found a way to win the 70KG title in a bizarre final against former World Bronze Medalist Frank Chamizo of Italy.   At 74KG we saw 3 studs take the mat with David Taylor blitzing through the field for a title.  Mark Hall finished with a Bronze medal and Anthony Valencia finished in 7th.

Future Sun Devil Zahid Valencia was a runner up to veteran Spaniard Friev at 86KG.  Wynn Michalak brought home the title at 98KG while Nick Gwiazdowski was the champ at 125KG.  Nathan Butler, Team USA's JR World Team Rep finished with a Bronze medal.

Coach Slay tweeted a few pictures of our guys on the podium.

The Greco-Roman effort was lead by Joe Rau who won Bronze up at 98KG.   Patrick Martinez was 5th at 80KG. Nikko Triggas finished 17th at 59KG.

Micheala Hutchison finished 17th.
